How It Works
I would love to paint something especially for you. Here is the process:
Step 1: Reach out in the form below with any thoughts or ideas that you have.
Step 2: We arrange for a free consultation (will take about 30 minutes to an hour) which is in-person if you live in the Greater Sacramento Region, or via video chat. It is important for me to see the existing aesthetic in your home if that is where you plan to hang the work. Please have multiple inspiration photos ready to show me. We will discuss the dimensions suitable for your walls. I will provide a quote for the commission, and accept check, cash or credit card for the 50% non-refundable deposit.
Step 3: I paint TWO options for each painting size that you request. I love doing this because it takes the pressure off me when painting, so the creative process can take over! The wait time for a commission to be completed is approximately 5 months.
Step 4: Once completed, we meet in-person or via video chat to show you the work. At this point you can request for minor changes to be made to the chosen work. Once these changes are made and you love the work, I will put a matte varnish over the work. All paintings are on gallery-depth canvases unless requested otherwise. These thick gallery-depth canvases look great framed and unframed. If you live in the Greater Sacramento Region, I am happy to install the work on your wall. For very large paintings that need to be shipped, I may recommend sending just the canvas rolled up, as it is less likely to be damaged in transport. Your local framers could then stretch the canvas. I accept check, cash or credit card for the final 50% owing. The initial quote would include the cost of materials and shipping. I charge around US$2 per square inch, however for smaller works the price per square inch is higher.
